The rain assuredly let up aloof in time for Andrew Bird's accession appearance at Lollapalooza on Friday. En avenue to a European tour, Bird showcased his agreeable versatility, assuming his abilities on the violin, mandolin and glockenspiel. But he afflicted the best with his whistling talents, announcement on favorites including 'Scythian Empire.'
